Tamara grew up in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She moved to the Twin Ports in 1996 and began her union career at Viewcrest Health Center in the activities department after attending the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
She came on staff with the local in fall of 2008 and is currently a member of Local 1116's executive board.
She is a commissioner with the Duluth Human Rights Commission and can frequently be found blogging on PerfectDuluthDay.
She lives in Duluth with her fiancé and her two young children, Hazel and Walter.
